The hospitality financial model was built to arrange all assumptions and outputs about hospitality market. The information regarding the hospitality industry is fragmented, and there is no single point of reference for all services. The end user doesn’t have access to real-time accurateinformation about his bookings. So, the user experience stops usually at the moment the user books his hotel and flight, and not at the place he travels.
At first, one of our clients wanted to integrate all the information that an end user will need — whether they will want to find a place to stay in the hotel/villa, book a taxi, limo, rent a car, book a flight or book a table at a restaurant. The client wanted to create an ecosystem of information and services exchange between businesses and their end users through a single platform that enables a holistic approach in every aspect of the hospitality market.
Our customer wanted to introduce an online platform that will enable customers to check out all the available options. In addition, the client also wanted to provide a platform that will allow customers to offer feedback on experience. People can read about a specific location, learn the culture, discover places of interest nearby, share their experience, write descriptions, upload a picture, or track where they have traveled.
The client was in need of the financial evaluation of this idea and approached us to develop a hospitality financial model that will justify the initial investment for the idea. A hospitality financial model helps evaluate the idea by developing a comprehensive set of assumptions and then converting them into actionable insights.
At first, we developed a hospitality financial model for the client’s B2B/B2C platform. The hospitality financial model we developed included the following tabs.
The dashboard included details about the markets that the client wanted to target within the business model. It also included core key performance indicators (KPI) and core financials.
Financial Statement Summary
Undoubtedly, including financial statements is a prerequisite for the preparation of a financial model. So we included the summarized financial statements in the model.
Also, the model included top revenue and expenses items.
Valuation was also done for the client’s business model based on free cash flow method.
Finally, we developed a comprehensive set of assumptions for the client’s business.

Besides, capitalization table was included in the model showing breakdown of equity.
